We’ve been so inspired by our recent linoleum bock classes, we had to try our own. And yes, we did this without the careful guidance of Sarah Vogel, Education Outreach Coordinator of Slow Industries (http://slowindustries.wordpress.com/). She would have made sure we reversed our image before committing to the block. Sarah will be teaching a class in Linoleum Reduction on October 1st.
Also, many thanks to Nancy Flem, who got us started on a modified chine colle technique for our shiny silver rollers. She’s got an MFA in printmaking, and has been using this technique from intaligio printing in her own work. We thought it looked like fun, and so we did it, too. It’s the sincerest form of flattery.
